Oracle Database Administrator

Purpose:

  • To administer, develop and manage Database tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Oracle Database 11gR2 Real Applications Cluster (RAC)
    • Perform common DBA tasks
    • Apply patches
    • Perform upgrades
    • Implement Oracle Data Guard
    • Experience in Real Applications Cluster (RAC)
    • Experience in Oracle RMAN
    • Experience in Oracle Database security setup
    • Oracle Exadata Experience (optional)
  • Microsoft SQL Server versions 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012
    • Perform common DBA tasks
    • Apply patches
    • Perform upgrades
    • Experience in SQL Server Database security setup
    • Windows Failover Cluster / SQL Cluster experience (optional)
  • Oracle E-Business Suite version 12.1.2
    • Perform common DBA tasks.
    • Apply patches
    • Perform upgrades
  • Oracle Solaris versions 10 and 11 / Oracle Enterprise Linux versions 5 and 6
    • Perform common administration tasks
    • Apply patches
    • Perform upgrades

Interpersonal Relationships:

  • The candidate should be dynamic, solutions driven and self-motivated.

Skills & Traits:

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
